Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be enjoyed in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your home computer, using an Internet account. The game rules are very straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the greatest mixture of cards as you can in order to win money. On this account it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, apart from the interaction with other players. Of course, tactics used in a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the draw button. A five card hand will then be "given out" on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the player has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards are given out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Typically, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable players are agile enough to pick the most profitable ones each and every instance.
After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, some styles of the game give the gambler a chance to increase their wins, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
