Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be bet on in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your home computer, through a web account. The game rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to get the greatest combination of cards possible in order to acquire money. In this respect it is much the same as a regular game of poker, apart from the interaction with competing players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A hand of five cards will then be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has decided on which cards she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards are given out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Generally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to choose the most beneficial game each instance.
After the first round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that might have been won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the player a chance to increase their profits, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
