How to Play Electronic Poker
November 4th, 2015 by Raina

Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be played in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, using a web connection. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player attempting to get the highest mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. On this account it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, without the involvement with other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A five card hand will then be "given out" on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the enthusiast has decided on which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are given out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.

Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable bettors are able to select the most money-making ones each and every instance.

After the first round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game allow the enthusiast a chance to double their profits, in which case another hand is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
